It was just a few tiny steps, but I am pretty sure it is the beginning of the end.
First, while we were getting ready to leave Genna's today, Addie pushed herself up off the kitchen floor into standing and then took 3 independent steps. Then she sat down and clapped.
When we got home we played in her bedroom and she did it again a few more times. Three steps here, four steps there. All followed by my clapping, her clapping and tons of giggles. Right before bed she showed off one more time for her daddy; a few more steps, a lot more giggles.
Yes, when she did those first few steps all by herself at Genna's, I teared up.
I don't know whether those were tears of pride or of pure, unadulterated terror.

Best hide the wine and the wine glasses. If she's anything like her mom, she'll be reaching for those first :)
