It was one of our cheapest dates in awhile ~ my ticket (which included a $10 lunch voucher) was $15 and Andy got in for free. We got to enjoy two brats (after all this time swearing I don't like them, turns out I do!) and a large diet Pepsi all for the bargain price of $20.
We decided to switch from our initial seats because as we sat cheering all the rows and seats around us started to fill up quickly ~ turns out there were 300 elementary school kids there on a field trip, ugh. I'm glad that these days the only kid I have to worry about chaperoning is my own!
Sadly for Addie, this what not the best game to see. As soon as we sat down the Reds hit 3 homers, after being in the park for just a few minutes the score was 5-0, Reds. Boo! At the start of the fifth inning it started to rain and we took off for home. A quick check of ESPN.com confirms that it still is looking tough for the Cubbies...now the Reds lead 9-0.
It may not have been the Cubs victory that we wanted Addison to experience, but nonetheless she loved everything about the game, the noise, the smells, the cheers, the people.

Big Red Machine! She won't be a Cubs fan for long!! Besides, do you want to raise a Trixie baby?
The pic of you ladies in your Cubs gear is just too cute!
