Not desperate...

...but definitely a housewife. Ok, an apartment wife. It is 1 p.m. EST and here is what I have done with my day so far:

>Woke up at 7:00 a.m., mixed up a fabulous bottle of soy milk, changed a diaper and fed a baby breakfast.

>Hung out in bed with baby watching the Today Show until about 8:15.

>Called Renata and begged her voicemail for forgiveness for forgetting to call on her 30th birthday yesterday:(

>Gave baby new "toys" of measuring spoons and tupperware bowl to occupy her while I did the dishes from last night.

>Vacuumed everything but stairs and our room.

>Brewed coffee and went to baby's room to play with above mentioned toys, as well as all the other toys she pulled out of her toy bin.

>9:30 Got baby and self* dressed, went to Kroger to stock up on grocery's for the next few days.

>Rushed to Blue Manatee for baby sing-a-long only to realize it's next Monday (I sure do miss their fine print a lot!).

>Went to King Arthur's Toys and bought baby a maraca and two shake eggs...both were her favorite toys at Goo Gah Baby Bubbles back in Chicago.

>Went back to Kroger to get gas ~ I get 10 cents off a gallon if I spend $100 in a month at Kroger and then use my Kroger card when filling up. Bonus.

>11:10 get home, feed baby yummy pears and oatmeal...down for her nap.

>Unload the groceries. Make Mexicali Round Steak in crockpot for dinner tonight and then start whipping up baby food.

>Mmmm, apple, greenbean, carrot medley. Mmm, carrots. Mmm, broccoli. Mmm, apple and peach puree. Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm!

>Clean up from cooking, sweep and mop kitchen and bathroom floors. Sit down to blog....waaaah, waaaah, waaaah...

>Someone is up from her nap. Time to read books, play with maraca, teaspoons, shake eggs and figure out what the next half of the day will bring.

*Notice I said I got dressed. Not showered. Nope, that won't happen until nap #2.

YUM! I love Mexicali Round Steak - can I come over?? Now that there are instruments in the house, does wine or vodka figure into the daily schedule ;-)

I adore the photo of the baby food. Such perfect little rows of beautifully colored mush.
